This is a male Eastern Amberwing Dragonfly. These are small,golden,stocky dragonflies. One of the smallest dragonflies in North America. Wings are entirely amber with reddish stigmas. They are considered mimics of wasps by moving their wings and abdomen up and down in a wasp-like manner. Also won Honorable Mention in the photography show at the Pinellas Park Art Society 6-11-2012.
